My Baby's Baby

I originally wrote this song for a friend, who got her first grandchild (a little girl called Melody). The original title was "Melody's Melody", but released it under the title "My Baby's Baby" on the album. It's not just about grandchildren, it's about any new born child, born out of someone you love...

Ten tiny toes,  ten tiny fingers
Your thumb tries to find your lips, and so it lingers
A pretty smile, big beautiful eyes
Peachy cheeks and your face already looks so wise

Never thought that my babyís baby
Would make me feel so proud
Although I always felt that maybe
One day Iíd shout out loud

I love you, my little princess
I love you, my pretty thing
I wish for you all the happiness
The world can ever bring

You will grow older, youíll start to walk
Youíll listen carefully to the words around you and begin to talk
I hope Iíll be around for quite some years
To see how you grow up and have a life without many tears

Never thought that my babyís baby
Would make me feel so proud
Although I always knew that maybe
One day I might shout out loud

I love you, my little princess
I love you, my pretty thing
I wish for you all the happiness
The world can ever bring

Instrum.

Never thought that my babyís baby
Would make me feel so proud
Although I always knew that maybe
One day I might shout out loud

I love you, my little princess
I love you, my pretty thing
I wish for you all the happiness
The world can ever bring
Oh, I wish for you all the happiness, yes all the happiness,
I wish you all the happiness the world can ever bring!
